James Bowen

Jim is the President of the JD Bowen Financial Group and a Registered Principal of LPL Financial. He holds over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and currently holds his Series 7, 63, 65, and 24 License with LPL Financial.  

Jim earned his bachelor’s degree at Colorado State University and his master’s degree in Business Administration from The University of Northern Colorado. Upon graduation, Jim was commissioned in the US Army and served in Southeast Asia, Germany, Belgium, Hawaii, and various stateside locations. He retired following his tenure as Professor of Military Science at the Florida Institute of Technology. Following military service, Jim took his management and financial service experience and built an independent investment advisory practice.

Jim and his wife Lynn have two daughters and six grandchildren. They are members of the Eau Gallie Yacht Club and enjoy golf, travel, and time with their family.
